Guillermo Garcia Castillo William - Senior Clinical Psychologist

Guillermo Garcia Castillo William

I hold the belief that each individual’s narrative is significant, and that healing commences with self-awareness. My objective is to assist you on your path of discovery and awareness—examining how your experiences have influenced the person you are today, and working together to cultivate the insights and strategies that will empower you to progress with clarity and confidence.

Greetings, I am Guillermo, although most people refer to me as William. I am a Clinical Psychologist at Rose Park Psychology.

Originally hailing from Spain, I have dedicated the last eight years to living and working in Australia. My experiences across various cultures have fostered a profound appreciation for diverse perspectives, backgrounds, and ways of being. I incorporate this openness into every session, striving to establish an environment where clients feel respected, understood, and genuinely acknowledged.

I am a registered Clinical Psychologist with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA), having completed my university degree, Honours, and Master’s qualifications in Spain. My therapeutic methodology is rooted in evidence-based practices, utilizing Schema Therapy, Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR), Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), and Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT).

With a background that includes private practice and aged care, I engage with individuals ranging from 15 years to older adulthood. I particularly find fulfillment in assisting adolescents, adults, and families as they confront challenges associated with ADHD, Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), trauma, depression, and anxiety. I possess a keen interest in collaborating with individuals who seek to gain a deeper understanding of their neurodivergent identities. In therapy, I adopt a collaborative and empathetic approach.

It is a privilege to facilitate meaningful change in people’s lives, and I eagerly anticipate accompanying you on your journey—whether you choose to call me Guillermo or (William).

We understand that journeys are travelled better together. No issue is too big or too small. Whether it’s a series of sessions to deal with a complex problem or a single session to address a specific concern, we’re here to listen and help.
