Holly is a very experienced psychologist.
She sees a wide range of clients and loves working with anxiety issues. She is fascinated by neuro-plasticity research and am weaving this into her therapeutic work as a way of helping clients understand their reactions and troubling experiences, and creating momentum to change.
In addition to private practice, she has worked in a variety of fields and is particularly interested in trauma. She has worked with Torture and Trauma Survivors, Vocational Rehabilitation, Workers’ Compensation and Compulsory Third Party accidents, and Employee Assistance Programs. She wrote her Master’s thesis on how clinicians use Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) to treat Post Traumatic Stress Disorder.
She works with adults, has a solution focus and draws upon a number of therapies. However she predominantly uses Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Neuropsychotherapy, Cognitive Behaviour Therapy and Mindfulness. She feels very passionate about her work and loves what she does.
She works with couples doing relationship counselling and has an interest in using the Gottman approach.
