Shannai Sloan - Provisional Psychologist

Shannai Sloan
Shannai is a registered provisional psychologist who has a strong interest with working with children and adolescents. Shannai uses a non-judgemental, warm approach to connect with clients and ensure therapy is a stress-free and safe environment for the client.

Whilst completing her studies, Shannai spent time gaining experience in the field. For over two years Shannai has been working with individuals with additional needs in schools and has experience working with a range of different disabilities. Shannai has experience working with individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorder (and PDA), Down Syndrome, ADHD, Developmental Delays, Cerebral Palsy, Intellectual Disabilities within the NDIS as well as children with a trauma background.

Shannai has an interest in working with Neurodiverse clients. She sees neurological differences as normal variations within individuals and follows a Neurodivergent approach to therapy. By using this approach, she works with clients to find their strengths in order to help them achieve their goals and work through any challenges they may face. Shannai is dedicated to delivering an evidence-based approach, working with both clients and their families to ensure their goals are met.

Outside of work Shannai loves going to the gym, snuggling with her cat, Gucci, and spending time outside in the sun.

Shannai also provides psychoeducational assessments. By working with both the individual’s family and school, she can provide support for individuals with learning difficulties or gifted individuals.
