Andrea Braica
Andrea is a warm and empathic APHRA registered psychologist with a passion for working with children, adolescents and young people to achieve their therapeutic goals through evidence-based therapies.


Andrea focuses on building trustworthy connections with children and adolescents by using a down to earth, creative and fun approach to therapy. She aims to assist clients to gain a deeper understanding of their wide-ranging emotions and equip them with skills to better manage emotions and adapt their behaviour to lead fulfilling lives despite challenges. Andrea endeavours to create a safe, caring and empathic environment for all her clients and aims to support clients to achieve their personal goals while recognising their unique strengths.

Andrea’s passion for supporting individuals with disabilities and working with children started during her work experience at St Patrick Special Needs school where she working with children who were diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder, Cerebral Palsy, Downs Syndrome, Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder, and others. Andrea’s previous work as a Behaviour Support Practitioner allowed her to support individuals of all ages and disabilities by completing Functional Behaviour Assessments to identify and address behaviours of concern using individualised plans.

In her spare time, she loves spending time at the beach with friends and family, and cuddling her cute dog Frankie. Andrea practices self-care through mindfulness such as meditation and gratitude journaling to observe her feelings and thoughts without judgement.
