Dora Volleman
Dora Volleman has worked as a psychologist in a variety of health roles over the past 30 years. She is warm and engages well with clients.
Her wide experience allows her to work with families, couples with relationship issues, adults and adolescents. She is currently writing a book on the long term love relationship.
Having worked in major teaching hospitals and psychiatric settings throughout her career, Dora also has considerable experience working with the more serious range of mental health disorders and psychiatric illnesses, including mood and anxiety based conditions, adjustment difficulties and a range of other behavioural difficulties. She is a specialised clinical psychologist.
As a result of over a decade working for the Western Australian Police as a Senior Clinical Psychologist, and Manager of Health and Welfare services, she has had extensive experience dealing with workplace stress, communication difficulties, conflict, grief and tauma.
She has worked in the following roles :
- The provision of psychological consultancy and specialist clinical services.
- The provision of counselling services in a range of settings including hospitals, the community, private practice and the Public Service.
- Teaching at the University of Western Australia, Curtin University and the University of Queensland.
- Involvement in research activities at the University and in various public sector settings.

- BA (Hons) Psychology (1st class)
- Graduate Certificate in Commercial Law
- Diplomas in General and Mental Health Nursing
- Registered with the Psychological Board of Australia
- Member of the Australian Psychological Society (APS)
