Dr. Julee La Mott comes to us from the United States where she has spent the last few years working in private practice, following several years working in medical settings, community mental health clinics, college counselling centres, and academic settings. She provides individual, couples, family, and group therapy for children, adolescents, and adults. She is skilled at working with clients struggling with anxiety, depression, self-harm, grief and loss, relationship issues, eating disorders, recent trauma as well as complex trauma.
Julee is warm, attentive, and understanding and strives to provide a safe place for clients to explore thoughts, feelings, relationships, and personal experiences. She takes a collaborative approach to therapy and enjoys coming along side clients to assist them with making lasting changes. Julee is patient and engaging and often uses humour in therapy.
Julee also has extensive experience conducting psycho-educational, neuro-psychological, and psychological evaluations. Her vast professional experiences have prepared her to work with a myriad of clientele presenting at varying stages in their current struggle. She uses various treatment modalities to treat the unique needs of each client and places great emphasis on the therapeutic relationship.

Julee has experience and training in working with a diverse range of couples and families. Throughout her years private practice, she has worked extensively with couples to improve communication, intimacy, friendship, conflict resolution and overall functioning. Julee is trained Gottman Method for Couples Therapy. She thoroughly enjoys the privilege of getting to know couples and is passionate about assisting couples with improving the quality of their relationships.
Julee is impassioned about working with children, adolescents, and their families. Her warm demeanour makes it easy for young people to connect with and assists in strengthening the therapeutic relationship. Julee is experienced in working with children and adolescents who are experiencing anxiety, depression, self-harm, eating disorders, bullying, and social challenges. Julee appreciates the role of the family and enjoys working with the entire unit to assist with creating lasting change.
Individual Therapy (Adults)
Julee is also experienced in working with adults in an individual capacity. She enjoys getting to know her clients and values the role that the past has on present functioning. Julee is skilled at working with a wide variety of presenting problems, but takes a special interest in treating eating disorders, trauma, grief and loss, self-harm, and suicidality.
Pychological Asessment (Children and Adults)
Julee is qualified to administer, write reports, and provide feedback for neurospychological, psychological and psychoeducational asessments for both children and adults. She has extensive training and is adept at working with diverse clientele.
