Niamh O’Brien
Niamh ("Neev") O’Brien is a registered Psychologist with a Master's Degree in Clinical Psychology from the University of South Australia. She has a breadth of experience of working with children, adolescents and families during her 9 years with Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services (CAMHS). Whilst at CAMHS, Niamh worked in roles across community teams and state specialist services and, as such, has experience in managing common emotional and behavioural concerns in families, as well as issues made complex by trauma and developing mental health issues.
To ensure best practice delivery, Niamh undergoes regular professional development and supervision in the modalities of: Cognitive-Behaviour Therapy; Acceptance Commitment Therapy; and Attachment-based therapies.
In addition to working with children and adolescents, Niamh enjoys working with adults, either in their role as parent or in supporting them in managing their own anxiety or depression.
She also works part time in a school as the psychologist/school counsellor.
Niamh has woven her accessible and warm personality into her approach, becoming an important part of how she collaborates with her clients to assist them achieve their goals.

- Member of the Australian Psychological Society and Associate Member of the College of Clinical Psychology
