Group programs Adelaide


Group programs offer a way to improve your well-being, whilst giving you the chance to make some new friends and share in others’ experiences along the way. Rose Park Psychology hosts a range of group programs in Adelaide for adults, adolescents, and children.

Adult Group Program

Dr Christine Botha-Webb runs a Mindfulness Meditation Group for Adults several times per year. This is a 10-week course consisting of weekly sessions with a group of up to 10 people. In the group, you will learn cormindfulness skills, including meditation, that you can use to change your unhealthy thinking patterns and emotions. The total cost of the course is $700 for all 10 sessions. This can be paid in two instalments prior to the 1st and 6th sessions, however participants who make full payment before the start of the course will receive a 10% discount on the total cost of the course. Medicare rebates are available for this course if you have a Mental Health Care Plan from your GP. Private health care rebates may also apply.


Adolescent Group Programs

Dr Christine Botha-Webb also offers a Mindfulness Meditation Group for Adolescents aged between 13 and 19. Mindfulness has an increasingly growing body of evidence for therapeutic treatment of children and adolescents. It is a clinically proven tool suitable for adolescents experiencing stress, poor self-acceptance, anxiety, irritability, school issues, or simply for the purpose of self-improvement. This course is presented as a 60-minute session once per week over 10 weeks. Places are strictly limited to no more than 10 in each course. The full cost of the course is $550, payable in two instalments of $275 prior to the first and sixth sessions. Payment of the course fee in full prior to the start of the course will attract a 10% discount. Medicare rebates are available for this course if the adolescent participant has a Mental Health Care Plan from a GP. Private health care rebates may also apply.

Additionally, Emily Shaw offers adolescents the MindUP curriculum. The program is informed by research in cognitive neuroscience, mindfulness training, social and emotional learning, and positive psychology. The MindUP Curriculum is suitable as an extension or enrichment program for children who are gifted and/or talented, and children who would like to develop their ability to live more mindfully. The program runs over 8 sessions at a cost of $520 for the whole course. You are welcome to download our MindUP flier regarding the course also.


Child Group Programs

Emily Shaw also runs What’s the Buzz? programs for children aged 5-7 and 8-10 years. These programs teach skills relating to social interaction, so are especially beneficial for children who struggle in this area. Emily runs both introductory and concluding parent and caregiver sessions, allowing parents to be fully informed about the program and to encouraging them to incorporate the learning and skill development into their everyday lives. Parents and caregivers will also be given a USB that will include PDF letters explaining the content of each session, as well as other helpful support resources for use at home.
