Medicare and Clinical Psychology
Medicare has accredited psychologists with extra training to provide specialised clinical treatment programs. Rose Park Psychology has a strong focus on the treatment of psychological disorders, using cognitive behaviour therapy.
You can go to your GP and ask to be assessed as eligible for a mental health care plan to see a clinical psychologist. You can be eligible for up to 10 sessions a year, starting with a referral for six sessions. The following problems are covered by Medicare.

- Adjustment disorder
- Depression – Major depression, bipolar (previously manic) depression
- Sexual disorders
- Bereavement disorder
- Posttraumatic Stress Disorder
- Generalised anxiety disorder
- Panic disorder
- Sleep problems
- Unexplained somatic complaints
- Obsessive Compulsive Disorder
